Magna Chief Executive joins NHF Board
Selina White, our Chief Executive, has been appointed to the board of the National Housing Federation (NHF).
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. It represents and supports its member housing associations, which together provide homes for around six million people.
Selina is one of four new appointees to the NHF board alongside: Louise Bassett, Chief Executive of Gentoo Group; Kate Markey, Chief Executive of Nationwide Foundation; and Charmaine Simei, Chief Executive of Tuntum Housing Association.
As well as her role at Magna, Selina has previously served as chair of the NHF’s South West Leadership Forum and is currently the co-chair of Homes for the South West, a partnership of the 12 largest housing associations in the region, and serves on the board of Brighter Places housing association.
Selina says: “I’m delighted to be joining the NHF board at such an important time for social housing. I’ve seen first-hand the important role the NHF plays in supporting our sector and the communities we serve. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience as a chief executive and sector leader to the board, contributing to its governance, strategic direction and long-term stewardship.
“It’s a privilege to take on this role and to work alongside fellow board members in supporting the NHF to be a strong, effective and well-governed organisation.”
Maggie Galliers CBE, Chair of the National Housing Federation, says: “I’m pleased to welcome Louise, Kate, Charmaine and Selina to the NHF board.
“Each brings valuable experience, fresh perspectives and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the social housing sector today. Their insight will help ensure the NHF continues to represent and support its members effectively as they deliver for communities across the country."
