New Magna Board members Jan 2025

Magna welcomes two new board members

Two new recruits have joined the Strategic Board of Magna Housing, the community-based housing association providing homes and services to people in the southwest.

Jens Gemmel von Döllinger and Linda Page both joined Magna in the latter half of 2024. Working alongside 10 other board colleagues, they are responsible for ensuring Magna remains focused on customer needs, operates ethically, and maintains a culture of inclusion, integrity, openness and accountability.

Introducing Magna’s new board members

Jens Gemmel von Döllinger

Jens works in public sector reform as a systems thinking practitioner and has spent more than 20 years transforming public sector organisations. Specialising in strategy, governance, and financial management, Jens designs, implements, and governs sustainable operating models for organisations that provide city and community solutions – places where we live, invest, work, learn, visit and play.

Known for turning strategy into delivery, Jens fosters a culture of equity and inclusion and sees technology as the key enabler of effective teams and performance. A two-time Institute of Directors (IoD) National Director of the Year awardee, Jens also served as an e-Government advisor to the UK Prime Minister’s Breakfast Club. His work is driven by a passion for creating lasting positive outcomes for communities.

Linda Page

Having founded an architectural design practice 31 years ago, Linda has extensive experience in the design and build of housing developments.

She has a particular interest in addressing environmental challenges through sustainable infrastructure strategies, and advocates for high-quality building projects which bring community health benefits and societal change.

Linda has been recognised by several business organisations for her work in the field, including Business West, Innovate UK, Enterprise Europe Network, Innovate 2 Succeed, and the Clean and Cool mission.

She is also the co-founder of a not-for-profit company that researches, funds and promotes green technology, community power strategies, battery storage systems, and waste management.

Christine Turner, Chair of Magna’s Strategic Board, said:

“These are two important appointments for Magna, particularly as we move ahead with the next stage of our strategy to create better futures for our customers and their communities.

“Both Jens and Linda bring valuable insights and years of experience to our innovative plan for growth, which includes significant investment in building new homes and ensuring our existing ones are fit for a net zero future. I’m looking forward to working with them, alongside our Chief Executive Selina White, in the coming years.”
